Privacy policy
1. Personal information we collect
"Personal information" means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details – your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses.
- Order information – the products you view, add to your cart or buy, your order history, returns, refunds and exchanges.
- Payment confirmation – payment method type, the last digits of a card, and transaction confirmation. Full card and account details are handled directly by our payment processors (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal). ARCLO never sees or stores your full card number.
- Account information – if you create a customer account: your login details, preferences and saved addresses.
- Communications – what you send us when you email us, ask a question, or request a refund, including any photos you provide (for example, of a damaged item).
- Device and usage information – your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages you visit, how you move through the store, and the website that referred you. This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
2. Where we get your information
- Directly from you – when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our emails or contact us.
- Automatically – from your device when you browse the store, through cookies and similar technologies.
- From service providers – such as our payment processors, shipping carriers and fulfillment partners (for example, delivery status updates).
3. How we use your information
- To process and deliver your order – taking payment, arranging shipping, sending order confirmations and tracking updates, and handling returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- To provide customer support – answering your questions and resolving problems with an order.
- To send marketing emails – only if you subscribe (for example, through the email signup form on our site or at checkout). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
- To run and improve the store – understanding how visitors use the site, fixing errors, and improving products and pages.
- To show relevant advertising – if we advertise on platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram) or Google, we may use cookies or similar tools to measure our ads and show our ads to people who visited our store. You can opt out as described in section 7.
- To keep the store secure and prevent fraud – detecting and preventing fraudulent orders and other abuse.
- To comply with the law – meeting tax, accounting and other legal obligations, and responding to lawful requests.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run the store, with:
- Shopify – our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and processes checkout. Shopify uses your information as described in its own Privacy Policy.
- Payment processors – such as Shopify Payments and PayPal, to process your payment and prevent fraud.
- Fulfillment partners and shipping carriers – our warehouse and fulfillment partners (located in Asia) and delivery carriers receive your name, shipping address, phone number and order details so they can pack and deliver your order.
- Email and marketing tools – to send order emails and, if you subscribed, marketing emails.
- Advertising and analytics partners – such as Meta and Google, if we use their tools, to measure and improve our advertising. Under some US state laws, this may count as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out (section 7).
- Legal and safety reasons – when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the store is used, and measure advertising. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the store to work; others are used for analytics and marketing. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store (such as the cart) may not work without them. For more about the cookies Shopify uses, see Shopify's Cookie Policy.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by law: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and "sharing" for that browser.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy – for example, order records are kept for as long as required for tax, accounting and warranty purposes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we keep only a record of your opt-out so that we do not email you again.
7. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy of it;
- Correct information that is inaccurate;
- Delete your personal information (we may need to keep some records, such as order and tax records, where the law requires);
- Opt out of marketing emails – use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us;
- Opt out of targeted advertising and "sharing" – contact us, or turn on the Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Residents of certain states, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others, may have additional rights under their state's privacy laws, including the right to appeal our decision on a request. To make a request, email us at Arcloshop@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will need to verify your identity (usually by confirming the email address used for your order) before we act on a request. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information, and payments are processed by PCI-compliant payment providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your customer account.
10. International transfers
ARCLO is operated from outside the United States, and our fulfillment partners are located in Asia. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored and processed in countries other than the one you live in, including Vietnam and other countries in Asia. When we transfer information, we take steps to protect it as described in this Privacy Policy.
11. Third-party websites
Our store may link to other websites, such as social media or payment provider sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
